Hot Air Balloon Safari Itineraries

DAY 1:

 

We will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi and take you to the domestic Wilson Airport by car. Enjoy a 45-minute flight to the Lemek Conservancy – an amazing spot of the Masai Mara National Reserve, known for its beauty and great herds of animals. On your arrival, we will take you to the Masai Mara National Reserve, surrounded by wildlife in our custom 4x4 safari jeeps, which will be the beginning of your very first game drive. This will be a 30-minute drive to the camp in Masai Mara, and you better keep cameras ready as you will witness the herds of lumbering elephants and dainty impala, or other amazing species.

Get your tempting and well-cooked welcome lunch, after that, you can enjoy the beauty of luxury tented camp and surroundings in the Masai Mara. In the late afternoon, get ready for a full of thrilling sunset game drives, which will give you opportunities to watch Lemek Conservancy’s famous pride of 15 lions, beautiful ecosystem, and never seen before sunset. This amazing 4x4 jeep safari will also help you to witness the Big 5 - lion, leopard, African elephant, black rhino, and Cape African buffalo, without which you can’t expect your safari to be finished. With our 4x4 safaris, your chances are high to watch the Big 5 in such awesome and thriving lush lands. Once the sun sets, you will be back at camp and get ready for a night show - lavish dinner and an evening spent around a roaring fire.       

 

DAY 2:

 

This is a day of floating in a balloon above the plains gives you a totally different view of Masai Mara. You won’t only see the animals on the land, but also the birds roosting in the tops of trees and fly in the sky, ultimate rivers, mountains, and many other remarkable views. Floating away on a air balloon is one of those experiences you’ll talk about for years to come and we will provide you the same by rendering all facilities and security. This peaceful yet exhilarating flight is the way to see the world in a different manner and will be an experience you never forget.

You will require waking up early so that you get ready for perfect ballooning safaris in Kenya before the sun rises completely. This is the time when the winds are gentle, the sky is clear, creating a perfect ballooning condition. We will introduce you to the balloon pilot, and watch balloon preparation for take-off, which will be hilarious. Also, your pilot will explain the safety procedures and other information, so that your journey becomes safe and the best. Balloon Safaris begin in the still air at sunrise, where you will witness the beauty of the sunrise, breathtaking views of the plains, forests, and The Mara River, and various animals silently.

After landing, there is a traditional champagne toast followed by breakfast cooked on the balloon burners in the middle of the rolling plains. You will never forget such an amazing breakfast in the heart of the bush, surrounded by grazing animals, is a feeling that you are in another world. We will serve you with a glass of champagne while the table is laid and good food is cooked for you. You won’t enjoy your breakfast, but will love watching the birds soar overhead is a magical experience After breakfast hop into your safari vehicle and enjoy a game drive back to camp. When you are back in your luxury camp, relax and soak yourself in the beauty of this amazing world. From your camp, you can easily watch the wildlife who come into our unfenced grounds, capture them in your cameras, and enjoy this place to the fullest by doing anything you want. In the evening, we will take you on a guided bushwalk for a closer encounter with our local wildlife, or sit on the deck with a sundowner and watch the unforgettable African sunset. At the night, you will be served with a special dinner and spend a great time around the campfire.

 

DAY 3: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE AND RETURN JOURNEY TO NAIROBI

 

This will be your last day at Losokwan Camp, and we suggest you to wake up early, have your tea or coffee, and hop into the safari jeep for an early morning 4x4 game drive. This will be a perfect time, when you can witness the plains are starting to wake with the rising sun, along with the rare predator activity. This is a time when you will find the lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other animals who hunt in the dawn hours before the day actually starts. After 1 or 2 hours of safari, you’ll return to the camp for a healthy breakfast. This safari has not ended yet as after say GOODBYE to Losokwan Camp and the team; you will be taken to the beautiful surroundings and inquisitive wildlife. You will drive to the landing strip across the plains of the Masai Mara for the last time and later you will be taken to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where our guide will meet you and transfer you to the international airport for your flight home.

PLEASE NOTE

• The last flight to the Masai Mara leaves Nairobi at either 3pm or 3.30pm, so if your international flight arrives late in the afternoon or evening you will need to overnight in Nairobi. We are happy to book accommodation for you in Nairobi, and our representative will collect you from the airport, drop you off at the hotel and pick you up in the morning after breakfast in time for your flight to the Masai Mara from Wilson airport.
